Createspace didn't work out for me. It cost too much money. I started contacting publishers directly and thought I had found the perfect one. The publisher sent my manuscript for review to a review board. After a few days I received a phone call that it was accepted and a contract was emailed to me to read. It was through page publishing. It seemed legitimate until I got into costs. It was going to cost me about $3,000 dollars for basic publishing. Advertisements and marketing would cost another $7,000. My final decision is to publish through outskirts publishing. It costs $200 for a basic option and $400 for a little better option. I am going with the $400 and see what happens.

    About Me

My name is Kimberly and I am a James Madison University student. I have been researching the publishing process in order to apply it to a book I wrote. I looked specifically into young adult fiction because I write books that fall into that category. Please leave any comments about my website here or if you find anything helpful please post it!
